R.Signals any ideas?.
This appears to be an officers collar badge.4.1/2.CM. Long. With lugs removed. The additional metal work is done to a high standard.It is stamped J.R. Gaunt. London.Regards Phil.

I'd say it's half a belt buckle, the other half facing the other way and with tongue/ hook to go through the loop.
