Default ATS Royal Artillery Side cap?

I ran across a nice grouping for an ATS girl to a mixed AA battery, but with it is a Royal Artillery side cap. I would not expect that to be right, but instead an ATS side cap. Amy I wrong and this was done?

Thanks,

Terry

ATS field service caps were private purchase items. Auxiliaries attached to AA command and RA units were permitted to wear RA (blue and red) field service caps.

Thanks Milmed, OK, then it looks to be legit.

Jerry, no, it is the red and blue cap, sorry should have been more definitive. I am not sure they ever wore the khaki side cap, but am just basing that on never seeing a vintage picture of one. The side cap I am familiar with is the private purchase one in ATS colors.

This is the type of hat being discussed.

Hi Jon,

Yes, that looks like the one I saw, and was asking about.
