R J Griffiths - Welsh Vol/3rd Glam/6th Welsh
Morning.
Some images of one man through the Boer War and WWI showing the adaptation of Vol Welsh through to 3rd Glam R.V to 6th Welsh (man born and bread in Swansea and served time in all Swansea based Welsh regt) as can be seen by his three different service numbers. 1. Volunteer company Welsh prior to leaving for South Africa "Swansea boys for the front" (middle row second from left) 2. Sgt wearing T6 Welsh s/t and QSA (service number 7417 Vol Coy Welsh) and Vol Long Service (Edward VII service number 1254 3rd Glam R.V) 3. Group photo (large portrait photo 19" x 15") wearing T6 Welsh s/t both one part and two and medals. (service number 96).
