Default WW1 Munitions Worker Badge

Can anyone help with details of who badge number 4331 was issued to please.
My family has a long military background however I have recently come across a sizeable amount of badges and other militaria that no-one in the family can accredit to anyone specific.

Many thanks for your efforts.

Hello Allyn, Welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
More information, perhaps with an image would help considerably with your request regarding the numbered badge.

Hi Allyn, some of these files are available on the Australian Archives site -http://naa.gov.au/collection/search/

It doesn't appear, however, that this one is there, BUT, the good news is I have a list somewhere, I'm just away from home, but when I get access to it, I'll look this one up.

Cheers, Tim

Hello Allyn

My copy of the list of the recipients of the Australian Munitions Workers indicates the badge was issued to G. Cheyne, unfortunately there are no other details available on the recipient.

Regards

Dennis

Thanks Tim
Had a quick look myself and even using some of the likely surnames I had no luck.
I look forward to seeing the results from your list.
That's a great website though.... I appreciate you sharing it.

Not a familiar name... will have to search the family archive.

Actually that name comes up in the search as 2343... odd

Allyn

I think you will find 2343 is his chronological number in the register with 4331 being his badge number.

Using the database supplied above there is no listing for that number Biltonbloke. However it is an australian list... maybe someone else may have some clues?
