Badge Identification Please
This photo is of a WW1 Trio, I am trying to identify the badge that the girl on the left of the picture is wearing on her left lapel. Also the badge the girl on the right is wearing on her blouse. Hoping someone can help, and sorry for quality of the pictures.

Terrible image quality as using phone, but girl on left - Welsh Guards over another item? Poss leek over "WG" shoulder title?
Girl on right - a POW feathers badge?. Bit of a Welsh theme I'm on here. |

Thank you so far for the info. The Soldier Private Lowe was killed in action, as I understand it the two girls are Australian, from Tasmania in fact. The girl at right has the same hanging badge as the girl at left. They appear to be dressed similarly, with the same headwear, I thought that this may be some type of uniform. They don't look like nurses.

The Mystery is solved.
The mystery of the two girls badges in the photo is solved, they are school girls aged 14 and 15, therefore the uniforms and badges are associated with their school.
The Soldier is Walter James Lowe, from Rinadeena in Tasmania. Private Lowe was killed in action in France on the 31st of August 1918, aged 28. Private Lowe served in the 40th Infantry Battalion. Before enlistment on the 5th of February 1917 Mr. Lowe resided with the parents of the two young lasses. Phil. |
