Have not seen one before but would not be surprised if it was connected to the Royal Yacht in some way.Waiters or Cooks Button ?

Hi, these buttons were worn on "Ward Whites" by Royal Naval Medical Assistants until about a decade ago when the uniform changed, I personally wore them during my MA training when on hospital placements at RNH Haslar and MDHU Portsmouth.
