Faughs badges, one or two oddities
What was the first British Army badge to use clutch pins? I thought it was UDR officers gilded silver collars...
Odd Faughs officers cap badge with EAGLE! worn in 1960's (collar pattern but worn as cap) & rare pic of plumes to 1914, larger was WO's Last edited by red rags; 03-10-18 at 11:53 AM. Reason: addition |

I believe that the officers badge is one produced in the 1970's by the Birmingham Mint as part of their "Great British Regiments" commemorative set.
What do others think? See the link here. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...mid=767&page=2 The coronet with clutch pins I can offer nothing on. Thanks for posting the plumes, superb images of the two types. John |

Looks like Birmingham Mint
https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...mid=767&page=2 Is the seperate coronet from a similar production? Yes, nice to see the plumes. |

Thanks both
Silly me, all came from a former Faughs officer who served in the '60's & I was unaware of B'ham production.
Coronet is correct but odd...please also see unusual maker, either from Kenya in the '50's (most likely) or Swaziland in the '60's |
