Default Signals Cap Badge CEF

Hello:
In the CEF series signals cap badges Charltons describes the large / small variation and suggests that there is an Officers' variation that is gilt on brass with enamel. My question is what part of the gilt on brass badge is enameled and in what colours of enamel. Is it just the flags that received the enamel treatment or did the letters / crown receive enamel as well? I don't have a picture that I can post but I have been offered a badge that appears to me to be a sweetheart pin with north south orientation of the pin. The badge in question has blue white enamel on the flags, red blue enamel on the CRC letters and red enamel on the lower banner and the crown as well. I have not yet had this badge in the hand.
Thank you
Don
