Default Opinions on WW1 East Lancs cap badge

Hi folks

I have a all GM East Lancs cap badge but am suspicious of it, can I have the experts opinion please.

I have no idea where the type of Nemes Headress on this badge came from on East Lancashire Badges but it is consistent with fakes to this regiment.

I don't blame you for any suspicions, quite frankly, I think a glance at the reverse is very telling.

In addition to Paul's post, the flicked-back triangular shape on the sphinx's headdress is seen on fakes from the same die in gm, wm, bi-metal, reversed bi-metal and with all sorts of VB titles added too. Without too much exaggeration nearly every other East Lancs badge on ebay appears to be from this die.
