This is a current issue British beret badge listed on eBay:

Described in the listing, by the seller, as 'Genuine Current issue other ranks SAS beret badge new. This came from the original MOD contractor.'

In fairness to the eBay seller, there is no attempt, whatsoever, to misrepresent the badge which is new in a packet.

I have attached a comparison between the badge on eBay and the example illustrated by Luke.

Look, in particular, at the motto. The stitching is identical. Luke's example (on the left) has either been misrepresented or misidentified. It appears to be a genuine worn example of this badge. (Unless purchased new and deliberately distressed)

It definitely isn't Rhodesian, however, to answer the original question.
