Default Question About Royal Armoured Corps Badges...

Just a few quick questions about Royal Armoured Corps badges:-
1) Was there ever an officers bronze version of the first pattern Royal Armoured Corps cap badge (the pattern with the RAC letters rather than the mailed fist)
2) Were there ever officers bronze collar badges of this pattern?
3) Were there ever ORs brass or gilding metal collar badges of this pattern ?
4) Were there ever officers silver (or silvered) collar badges in the second pattern (mailed fist) King's crown or Queen's crown
5) Were any HM silver Queen's crown , officers second pattern cap badges produced ?
6) Were any of the officers pattern badges produced in bullion for wear on a beret ?
Just want to make sure that these things actually exist so that I'm not chasing unicorns !
Photos of any of the above that do exist would be greatly appreciated !

TIA

PL

That’s a card from the Professor Charles Thomas collection. Discussed on here in several other threads.

Hi Paul, 1/ Yes; 2/ No, but I'm sure some officer would have worn 1 as them;3/ No but they do appear with lugs so maybe or just converted. There is an Indian made one with lugs; 4/ Yes both British and Indian made; 5/ I only have an unmarked J R Gaunt one so could be silver but probably plate. If you want I could photograph them, hope this helps best wishes Mike

Paul, bronze first pattern RAC badges are darned uncommon, strictly they shouldn’t have been made as WO instructions ordered RAC officers to wear the ORs pattern until the newly designed badge was brought in.
