Default eBay Conmen

I came across this on eBay and was stunned, do people seriously fall for these conmen tricks and buy?

Probably not, but then the seller only needs one bidder!

He's using eBay Global Priority Shipping - another ripoff!

International postage and import charges paid to Pitney Bowes Inc.

£66.24 over 24 months suggests the price is 'right'

Afternoon gentlemen

I think the seller is more intelligent than you give him credit for!

A simple search of eBay shows up a lot of items way, way above their market value. And the reason for this to me is simple. If one conducts a search of eBay using the highest to lowest price search feature these are the items that appear first thus giving the seller more exposure to their item. Many of these listings say open to offers knowing full well that their advertised price doesn’t relate to the lowest price they would accept.

This technique is also seen where people post wanted adverts for a particular family medal name etc...they stick a picture of a group of medals on with “Wanted all medals to the name X”

Regards
Geoff
