Thoughts is it or isn't it?
Is this a Royal Scottish Reserve Regiment.
Badge? Not one I've come across before. Third image Kipling and King. Tony.

The one I have is pinned the same and measures - H 47mm x W 43mm.
There is a photo in my album. Last edited by Parabellum; 15-02-19 at 02:17 PM. |

There is a Middlesex rifle volunteer badge which is similar to this badge. I don't have a photo of it, but a quick internet search should bring it up.

There must have been a fair few Battalions of this Regiment as everyone has one of their badges!
Thats not a military badge IMHO merely a brooch, produced in their thousands over many years for Scottish women, tourists and the like. The flimsy rear fittings are typical cheap manufacture for mass produced trinkets and not a standard that would be any use on a military badge. regards

Simon that's fair comment, the pin is not as stout as one would expect.
Tony.
