Roy, we’ve chatted before on PMs, never remembered you mentioning a Triumph in your collection but MY God, what ever happened to yours? This from a “Purist” driving a ‘94 Sprint 900! Seriously, Good Luck in your move. Stay safe and warm. David J.

Thanks David,

Yes, that's my baby... Started of as a stock Bobber Black but it now has a few upgrades including a Speedmaster tank and headlight, so I guess it's a hybrid. Still got lots of plans for it down the road a little as time/money allows. I've been fortunate enough to have owned some cracking bikes but this beauty beats them all.

A couple more pics from my ride yesterday. Let's see some pics of your Sprint David?

Cheerio,

Roy

Thanks for that Andy,

I love it. Although not going anywhere today as we woke up to our first snow so somewhat snowed in today. Although the views are spectacular.

Cheerio,

Roy

Thumbs up

Hi Roy

Ive just found this thread, man that's a great move. I love the snow country although ours is not on this scale, but I do have shares in a ski club down under.

Enjoy mate, are you taking the Black Out ? Something for shooting bears, maybe if that's on the agenda or allowed. Love the photos and Lilli is in place for the winter.

Roy its a hard life but someone has to do it so it might as well be you as its not me !!

Good one mate, enjoy your move.

Regards

Phil.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for that mate. I'm not a winter sports person but I might be tempted to do a little ice-fishing in the lake later on. We had someone drive by on a snow-mobile today, never had that happen before.

I'm not a hunter Phil but this is certainly bear country, so never leave the house without something on my hip..

We do have a very serious snow-blower on site, so I better get to grips with how to use it. I think it will be a long winter...

Cheerio for now,

Roy

OK on the sprint shots Roy, will have to dig some out. By the way, just had some pics sent to me today of the first shoots for this winter in the Canadian Rockies. The R.C.A. Have started their averlanche control program in support of Parks Canada. Basically, When Parks Canada assess the danger of an impending averlanche, they send the co-ordinates to the regiment, close all roads and passes, The 105s do their stuff, P.C. Clear the debri and re-open the roads. It’s listed as the world’s largest averlanche control system. All the Best, David J.

Hi David,

That's fascinating. Must be quite scary indeed to even think of an avalanche, something I hope I never see.

The mountain road here goes through some really precipitous canyons and although I don't think avalanches are too much of a problem, there is a real danger of rocks falling (some the size of a house), roads washing away (by the looks of the repair that happened last year) and wildlife. Just the other day coming back from our first shot a whole heard of mountain Big Horn sheep came of the steep mountain side and ran right in front of our jeep. My wife was so excited you would have thought she won the lottery.

Cheerio,

Roy

Hi Gents,

I think we had a 'dusting' of snow last night...

Cheerio,

Roy
