WW2 OBSERVER WING?
A genuine badge?
Your thoughts are welcome. Thank you, Dominique |

My first thoughts are that the angle of the wing is too acute. All the ones I've seen tend to be different (can't think of the correct term to describe an angle that's less acute). None of the ones in Warren Carroll's book for RAF or RCAF Observer's brevets look like yours. Not sure about the backing either. Many WW2 wings and brevets I've seen seem to have a light canvas backing and big stitching.

Hi! Stay away. A total repro commonly found on eBay. The backing is modern made heat shrunk. Sorry, but I don't like it all. There are other extremely knowledgeable wing collectors here, see what other comments you can muster.
Cheers! |

Pair of real observer wings
Top is Canadian and bottom Briitish made. There are many original variants, the odd shaped one posted is not one of them.
