Hi All
Can someone ID this for me please. Unfortunately it isn't mine and I don't have a photo of the back. Thanks in anticipation, cheers, Alex |

It appears to be the Exeter Volunteer Regiment cap badge. Became part of the The Devonshire Regiment sometime about 1917/18 I believe.
KK 1611. I cannot say if it is genuine - it has been widely copied. John |

Hi Alex,
I’m 10 years late but interested to hear if you acquired this badge or ever got a photo of the back? The sharpness of the letterings edges instantly struck me as genuine. Now comparing this badge to the bucket load on eBay (and an esteemed dealer’s website) it is actually from a different die, which is exciting as I’d always before believed these were restrikes. Now I don’t believe that’s the case and the masses are indeed fakes and so actually easy to spot. If anyone’s interested I can highlight the differences. Cheers, Luke |

Hi Luke
No, sorry, I don't think I ever even saw the back, the photo came from somebody else and I have forgotten who now. Cheers, Alex |
