Default Optimists' National Corps

Thought I'd share this cracking photo I acquired the other day. Not a VTC unit you see too many pictures of, especially in close-up.

Regards,

JT

Hi JT,
Thanks for the great pictures. I had thought the badge I had was worn on an armband.
Cheers, Tinto

Hi again,
The attached picture shows the peculiar lugs on the Optimist's badge.
Cheers, Tinto

Unusual configuration. Dictated, no doubt, by the badge's unconventional
design.

The ONC had a small motor section that operated out of Victoria Station and it formed the basis for the National Motor Volunteers. NOTTALOTTAPEEPORNODATT.

Nice one, H. Thanks for that. I know almost nothing of this unit. Definitely one for further research.

Cheers,

JT.

Very, very nice and pleased to see the VTC armband being worn too. Still a part of British military history that we know very little about.
