A rare original Victorian period 'Church Lads Brigade silver medal' in the form of a Maltese Cross bearing the brigades' emblem and inlaid with red, white and blue enamel; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1899 and maker's details "R.C" in a oval surround (Robert Chandler Chester). Very good condition, complete with original silver suspension ring, enamel perfect.
Height with ring approx 33mm. Courtesy of Sally Bosley
