Indian Army Silver Collar Badge ?
Unmarked silver collar badge of a Chinese dragon with 2 lugs to the reverse.
Is anyone able to identify which regiment it belonged to ? Does anyone have a picture of someone wearing this badge ? |

The style of the dragon is quite different - especially lack of a crown. I was given to understand that my photo was a 1892 - 1902 Hong Kong Regiment collar badge. This Regiment was disbanded in 1902 and most of the officers joined the newly named 67th Punjabis in 1903.
However, I have never seen a photo of someone in the HKR wearing this or any other collar badge, though admittedly there are few photos of them after the 1900 China War. I was hoping someone might have one and be able to shed some light on the badge. |
