Cameron Highlanders badges question

Hello
I'm after putting together a small collection of Cameron Highlanders cap badges together on a frame.
Can someone please tell me the first badge, all the way to the last anodised badge, the different types of OR's there are to collect.
And if possible the dates roughly worn.
And if possible photos please.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

2. Cameron with scroll in w/m sealed 1897
3. Plastic version of WW2.
4. Anodised aluminium version worn 1960s-1990s by TA and then Cadets.

Cameron without scroll alleged by Gaylor to have been worn in preference to the with scroll for some years as I recall? Having a senior moment did Gaylor say worn till 1910?

With emphasis on OR's only, here are examples of 1,2 & 4 as detailed in Alan's post.

You could also include the Liverpool Scottish if you wanted to flesh out the Cameron collecting theme a bit further - in both w/m and a/a.

The badge without "CAMERON", pre 1897, according to one source, John Gaylor claims that it was worn until 1912, & perhaps beyond. He states that an officer wore the officers quality badge without the scroll as late as the 1960's. (Page 46).

Bloomer states that the badge was worn pre-1881 (Page 225).

Gaylor states that there is a brass pattern of this badge in the Scottsh United Services Museum & that it is a WWI brass economy badge, Kipling & King state that this pattern badge in brass is a Victorian period badge worn on the ostrich feather bonnet (the WWI economy theory is now discredited).

The WWII plastic economy badge, in silver - grey plastic with a silver spray paint finish.

Kipling & King show it as K&K 2258, Marcus Cotton's article in Militaria Magazine issue 12 states that contract dates were 27/7/45 - 5/9/45, 21,936 made, all by Alfred Stanley & Sons of Walsall.

According to Kipling and King the silver anodised version was sealed on 8/1/65.

There is still some confusion regarding the brass Cameron badge. Some have linked it to the Canadian Camerons and it may not be as KK states.

The Western Australian Scottish wore the Camerons badge before 1903 (S.Aust wore the Gordons).
I have never been able to confirm whether they wore the Camerons badge with scroll or without.

Here's my brass / bronze example. I have had this for 30 years + and I think it is original but know nothing about it. I don't have a photo of the back at the moment. Happy to see members opinions on it.

My brass scrolled job, a very forward facing St Andrew, with a claw, had it for two or three decades.
I don't have a good feeling about it.

Seen a few of these brass ones for sale, it'll be interesting to see if someone gets to the bottom of the mystery!

I too had a few brass examples over the years, but ended up letting them go as I could never get to a satisfactory conclusion regarding them.
I find the K&K idea that they were for use on the feather bonnet in Victorian times very questionable.

I too have a brass 1916 version, but have never been able to verify it.
Might be good or good for a space filler.

Reference books always state that there was one issued.....

and so the mystery grows!
