Ww2 Signals? Please help
Hi All
While clearing my grandfather's garage I found a item I cannot identify. This was with a large number of cap badges which had been kept following my grandfather's return from serving in Ww2. We have a lot of ex service men in the family and a lot of friends that have served but we cannot identify this. Any info would be gratefully received. |

If Belgian, than perhaps the kind of souvenir traded with allied troops, especially one in the same branch of service. "Here, mate, I'll trade you this spare 'jimmy' badge for one of your lightning bolts.'

The said 'lightning bolts' remind me of the british OWL 'operator wireless and line' badges, did the Belgians have the same? would be interested to see the back, nice thing - Regards Mark

The badge is of the Regiment des Troupes de Transmission issued 16.12.1939. A Belgian badge in brass or white metal. It came under the Engineer umbrella. See Genie et Transmissions Insignes et Traditions by Jacques P. Champagne.
