Default What collar is this?

Hi all,

Does anybody know what collar is this?

I am always looking early (pre 1939) British ribbon bars with foreign awards; interesting devices or just different construction solutions. Also I am seeking Royal Dublin Fusiliers items. I can help in small scale to research RDF soldiers (MICs, medal rolls, additional information, etc).

Initially identified by Westlake as Royal Scots shoulder title in white metal (722)

Subsequently suggested in Westlake Supplement No 1 as worn by Rover Scouts (the over 16 section of the Scout Movement)

Have just today pulled all my Shoulder Titles lying loose in different locations together, one of which is identical to your picture, up till now I have percieved it to be Royal Scots, will post when light is good, its been made into something else? Tye? clip or some such??

I have always had this down as Rover Scouts.

This is and always was a Rover Scouts cap badge. Has nothing to do with Royal Scots

I wore the RS badge on the leather hat band of my scout hat when a Rover Scout in Melbourne in the 1960's.

So is this really a Scout badge and Not! Royal Scots?? The fitting now makecsennse if it where to go ontona tie! or an Epaulette.

The RS badge was worn on the front of the leather hat band, Scouts Aust no longer wear a "Lemon Squeezer" hat and the RS bar is now usually worn on the top of the shoulder colour knot as worn by Rover scouts.

My hat is sitting in my wardrobe with its RS bar still in place.

Been through your Album, seen the badge in question so it's Rover Scouts also have these and lapel badge is clearly for the same!
