Default 2nd Battalion (Reserve) Adelaide Rifles - circa 1897

Group portrait of infantrymen of the 2nd Battalion (Reserve) Adelaide Rifles, whose uniform is khaki with green facings.

Back row, third from left, is Corporal James McIntosh McGillivray (MacGillivray), wearing the medal indicating he was a member of the South Australian Contingent which went to England in 1897 for the Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee. Others possibly identified are Private K McIntosh (front row, second from left) and Private R J Kilsby (back row, second from right, standing) both of whom are wearing the Queen Victoria jubilee medal.

Circa 1897/1898

Enjoy!

Mick
