Hello from Flanders!
Good evening everyone!
I am Rodenbach (one of the best Belgian beers!) and I live near Bruges. Born and grown up close to the battlefields of Passchendaele and Ieper I always had a great interest in WW1. I grew up with the stories my grandmother told me about her brothers and her brother-in-law who all fought in the Belgian Army then. One brother and the brother-in-law got killed the same day in the Liberation offensive, October 16 1918, both only a few kilometers from where they lived before joining the army. I have a small but nice collection with some pickelhaubes, a M-16 helmet, a nice medal-collection, some nice paperwork and a small capbadge-collection. As we have 2 little children there are no weapons in my collection, apart from some inert handgrenades and some Hebel-flairguns. If anyone comes over to Flanders or the Somme ... always prepared to help you prepare your trip! Best regards, Rodenbach
