Bonjour,

Really happy to do my first steps in this forum dedicated to british and Commonwealth insignias.
I collect militaria since my teenage years and after a short period of a "multi themes", I quickly specialized myself in post war conflicts with a large effort on Southeast Asia wars.

I'm really interested in the british army during the Korea war and keen on souvenirs and memorabilias from units deployed there.

Cheers

Valery

Bonsoir Valery,

bienvenue chez les passionnés (j'allais dire les "fous") et sur le forum.
Bien que moins à l'aise sur la période post-war, je ferais de mon mieux si je peux t'aider. N'hésite pas! Au plaisir de te lire.

Phil

(welcome among dedicated collectors -not to say "madmen"- and to the forum. Though the post-war period is not the one I master, I'll do my best to help you if you need. Feel free to ask!)

Bonjour, Assuming that its the 'allies' bits and pieces you are interested in, there is an excellent book available from the Rifles museum in Belfast on the part they played. Its title escapes me - and I have read it twice... - but its name escapes me (Last Stand??). An excellent read. I am sure that some of the other members will furnish its title, author and ISBN. Don't start reading it at night - because its very hard to put down. Lofty Large's (Ex Gloucesters) book also covers it more from his regiments viewpoint - again, not a book to start unless you stay up all night....
Good hunting.
