24L Other Ranks Khaki Side Cap

As there has been a bit of interest in the 24L beret thread I posted I thought I would post pictures of the 24L Other Ranks Side Cap I have.

The cap is dated 1939 and the badge is genuine, there is however no provenance that both started life together, a point that has been raised elsewhere about dealers making marriages of convenience out of separate genuine items to embellish and to increase their value, I don't know if this is the case with this hat as unfortunately it is not named nor is there a service number in it to check against the Regimental Nominal roll, either way it looks the part and displays well.
