Hi Guy's,
Just though I'd give the people who know Podge the heads up. I've just got back from Exmouth where I've been helping to clear his house as he's gone into a care home. His legs don't seem to want to work so he's been in hospital getting treatment. If you are down that way and want to visit him I'm sure he would be happy to see you. Whilst going through some of Podge's photos I found a number of items relating to the film. Here are a couple of pictures. The text is on the back of the 'Cockleshell Heroes' drill with stars photo.

Well done Irv,
Really wonderful mate, what a great display. One of my favorite movies from my childhood. The book about the real event is equally fascinating. This display is going to be a superb talking point for those dinner parties... Cheerio, Roy

Good evening,
my mother had a holiday home at Soulac, on the Gironde estuary, and my father on the river Loire estuary, in front of St-Nazaire, and each time I went to these homes, I thought about the heroes of Cockleshell and Chariot raids. Tribute to heroes from France Laurent |
