Little perplexed by your post. If you think the one being sold via the forum is not genuine - or you have doubts - you should show pics of the front and rear of the one in your collection that you believe to be genuine. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the one being sold on the forum. David |

LRDG badge
The badge you have is an original.
It is the later type made in Cairo circa 1942. They were made in both brass and bronze. The badge you have is fitted with the brooch pin fitting which is not unusual, although lugs on the badge is more common. We can only speculate why the brooch fitting, this could be for wear by a spouse, by the soldier in civilian clothes, or for easy attachment to the Arab style headdress. |

irregularity of the crown width of the badge... quality of the alloy used to the manufacture... Having been in the hands of many original badges and copies Compare with the good one at the beginning of the post ! |

Conflicting views here?
"I bought my LRDG badge on the estand on this forum by a member of this forum less than one year ago. Here it is." What does the Forum Member who sold him this badge have to contribute. I am sure there are two sides to this. regards

LRDG cap badgeu
Both those badges you show are 100% Both pin back and lug type. I have sold 3 of the 4 badges in my collectiontion to forum members. They were part of a large collection I bought from a long time and well respected LRDG collector and member of this forum KiwiRic.
