Default Can you identify this regiment please?

The black beret would suggest Royal Armoured Corps, the cap badge appears to be that of the Royal Tank Regiment or possibly of the East Lancashire Regiment so 8th battalion is a possibility, and if it is, what about the collar badges which appear to be those of The King's Regiment?

8th battalion raised 1940 from 50th (Holding) Battalion, converted to 144th Regiment Royal Armoured Corps in 1941 and served in 33rd Armoured Brigade in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944. The regiment continued to wear its East Lancashire cap badge on the black beret of the RAC. On 1 March 1945 144th RAC was redesignated 4th Royal Tank Regiment to replace the original 4th RTR, which had been lost at Tobruk in 1942.

RTR beret badge, Northants Yeomanry collar badges?

Edit to add I don't know how that beret badge / collar badge would come to be worn.

Is it the Royal Armoured Corps (first pattern) cap badge with Northamptonshire Yeomanry collar badges? Or if early 1939 a member of 25th (Northamptonshire Yeomanry) Armoured Car Company, Royal Tank Corps, that in April 1939 was transferred to the Royal Armoured Corps.

The Regt dropped the RAC cap badge later in the war and wore the collar badge on the beret with a blue backing.

The 2nd had the badge with the oval.

Super photo and a nice record of the RTC company.
