Hi from South Africa
Hi to all, I've just recently joined. I used to collect British Army cap badges but lost touch when I moved to SA in 1988. I discovered this web site trying to ID some badges I bought recently; old habits die hard!!!! I was originally from Southport near Liverpool, hence the avatar, which is in my collection. Its nice getting back into it and i'm sure we'll be conversing in due course. regards Iain

Hi Ian. Welcome to the forum, I think you will find it very interesting and informative. I certainly have.
Long ago I spent many happy weeks touring the old Eastern Frontier Districts via the Garden Route. Magnificent Country. Regards Jeff |

Hi, thanks for the welcome, I have amongst my collection, the Kings pre 1926 cap badge, the small one, the larger 26 - 60 cap badge, a bronze 8th Battallion Kings Liverpool Irish, Liverpool Scottish and of course the Liverpool Rifles in bronze with original red backing cloth. I also have the pre 1923 Manchester Regiment cap badge in silver, had to mention that as they amalgamated. Ive never pursued more recent staybrite post amalgamation but I guess its part of it. rgds Iain
