Now this is interesting. We have a new member whose call-sign is that of Jameson Irish Whiskey.....but perhaps they share it with others? Come on do tell us.

Same as the A&SH, albeit a different incarnation: 'SANS PEUR'.

Cin-cin.

For those saddos among us who cannot pass up the opportunity to find connections between otherwise unrelated subjects (of whom I am a fully paid up member)...

SINE METU = WITHOUT FEAR

WITHOUT FEAR = SANS PEUR

SANS PEUR = ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS' (motto)

A&SH = SCOTS

SCOTS = SCOTCH (archaic)

SCOTCH = WHISKEY

WHISKEY = JAMESONS

JAMESONS (motto) = SINE METU

SINE METU... ad infinitum.

Told you it was for saddos!

Hi Peter, me old mate.

So where does our newie fit in ? Is he an Irish Whiskey man, or an Argyll, either way he is a welcome addition to the forum.

And Scotch is Whisky, not Whiskey, the latter is the stuff the Irish drink, nae the Scots.

Cheers,

john

Hello Doc,

Nice to speak with you again.

Don't know which our new comrade is, but I am sure the poor person will be wondering what the hell is going on when he/she logs in again.

The pseudo-erroneous 'E' is there purely as a nod to the fact that Jameson is Irish, of course.

Speaking of typos, I'm reminded of a 'visitor message' you once sent me (now sympathetically deleted) in which you opened with:

"Thanks for the recent massage..."

Sizzler!
