Unknown formation patch
Would anyone be able to shed light on the formation patch worn by these gents? I would think the photo was taken in early WW2, approx. 1940.
The patch looks like a two colour triangle to me; although the definition on the image is not helping much. Any other insights into the likely identity of these gents would be welcome! Last edited by DougSA; 27-03-20 at 02:17 PM. |

Trawling through previous posts on Australian Army colour patches, as well as other related resources online, I can only find the attached possible matches...
Looking at the photos, I would think that the most likely match is the white and dark blue patch. From an earlier posting, this would be 1 Corps AASC. Furthermore, given the dark colour (dark blue?) on the right of the patch, it would seem to be 1 Corps Troops Ammunition Column. Any opinions on whether this a correct conclusion would be appreciated. |
