HQ 268 Indian Bde FS?

The label attached to the badge tells all I know about this formation sign.

The previous owner bought it with items from 268 Indian Brigade. It is not like the FS shown in Cole (Bullock's head with horns), but the notes attached say it is similar to their badge. He believes it was worn by HQ 268 India Bde whilst part of the occupation forces in Japan.
It measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" so is too small to be a normal blazer badge.

Observations please.

The yellow star definitely relates to the formation sign of Indian Units, BCOF (Japan). If you have access to Heraldry in War - read all about it there. I think the flash is very unofficial - possible CMP/RMP in 268 Indian Inf Bde? Mike

I don't have Heraldry at War but I do have the later Formation Badges by Cole. That is where I read about 268 Bde, but nothing on this FS: not even similar.
