12-56D 56th OS FLD Bty CEF Badge
I thought I would share this new acquisition with you!
The 56th Bty was recruited from students of the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph in March 1916 under authority of GO 69 15 July 1916. The bty was mobilized in Guelph.
The Bty departed OS 13 september 1916 on board SS METAGAMA. The BTY was broken up and its personnel absorbed into the 55th and 66th Fld Bty's CFA 22 January 1917.
D Style Badge is Pickled Copper,56 Banner is attached as described in Charlton's, Solid Back No Makers Mark, and Lugs.
RARE to Scarce IMHO
