Default Royal Dragoons (1st Dragoons)?

Hi Guys,

I picked this up recently and am looking for a positive ID.

I'm guess its a Royal Dragoons (1st Dragoons) arm badge?

Regards,

Mick

It is.

Bear in mind they used the Kings Crown during the current reign of the Queen also.

Not 1RD,which has Black/dark Blue backing. I think you'll find its 15/19H (Scarlet backing)as worn 1950 through to c.1985 possibly later, NCO/WO No.1 Dress & Mess Dress.
