Default Ray Smith

Thanks pukman for putting this tribute to Ray, a true collector and a wonderful man, I feel guilty of not keeping in touch with Ray of late, the times we met up he always had some new items to enthrall me with, a true loss to the badge collecting world.

So sad to hear this, Ray was a true Gent and a friend. I did enjoy our meetings at various fairs, distance was no object to Ray, he'd drive anywhere! A sad loss, rest in peace my friend,
Wilf.

Oh how very sad !

Yes it has been a few years since we met up with Ray, but no fair was too far for him to visit and he loved meeting up with us all. He had some really great badges, some extremely rare and loved showing them off.
Always was a pleasure to meet up with him at some of the fairs around.
He loved meeting up with me and Jerry, as we had a laugh with him everytime. I'm glad we both put a smile on his face on every occassion.

Ray Smith will be sadly missed by us all, but he will also be remembered fondly by those who knew him personally, myself and Theresa included.

RIP Ray (GBNF)

Endorsing all the comments that have been posted thus far.

Extremely sad to hear the news. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the badges he took to the various fairs and discussing all manner of things with him.

I never did get to the bottom of this though; was he in The Scots Guards?

It made me laugh each time he told me, a larger than life Taffy in with The Jocks.

RIP Ray.

Regards.

Brian

Very sad indeed to hear about Rey.

Seems we have lost a few really great chaps over these last few years.

RIP Rey.

Regards,
Roy
