Machine Gun Corps Infantry shoulder title
Picked these up on my short trip to London. Machine Gun Corps Infantry shoulder title - hexagonal lugs on both. I think this branch of the MGC were created in 1915. First I have seen, cheers Dean

Jon, super S/T. I missed one of these at auction last year along with a 46th Div MGC patch in the same lot just went supersonic in terms of price!

Machine Gun Corps Heavy
Hi all,
I have now picked up from a UK e-harbour dealer this Machine Gun Corps Heavy two piece title. The H bears double hexagonal lugs and measures 13x12mm HxL. The MGC Infantry two piece title that I started this thread with has one central hexagonal lug and measures 20x10.5mm HxL. Looking at previous threads on MGC titles as per below I have seen the H attached to the top of the title. http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...=Machine+heavy Does anyone have any further information on one versus two piece MGC branch titles and differences in sizes? I ask as the MGC titles themselves and I have a number of these, are all 17mm in height, hence there is quite a mis-match between the branch letter height and the MGC title itself. To me that is like suggesting that the Romans didn't measure things when they were building. Best regards Dean. |
