Impressive & interesting display. Thanks for sharing with us.
I'm intrigued as to why the QAAC worker's reason for discharge would be "Medically unfit", I thought that would apply to all who were in receipt of the SWB by definition? cheers, Andy C

your Royal Navy SWB was awarded to:- LZ5567 AB George Peter Feloy London Division of the RNVR. he was born 29/8/1889 and was discharged 28/1/1917. he was only awarded the British War Medal for his WW1 service so presumably served at a shore base ? Hope that is of some interest to you regards PL |

Bit more info regading George Peter Feloy
He was married to Alice Logan in January 1914 at St Giles in London. He died in December 1917, i'm guessing not directly as a result of his war service as he doesnt have a CWGC headstone. In 1911 he was living with his parents and siblings at 5 Garnault Place, Rosebery Avenue, London EC. At that time he worked as a waiter. His parents were Battista and Rose Feloy. His father was Italian by birth and also worked as a waiter regards PL |

A nice collection there. I didn't know the first 474 numbered SA badges were at the archives, unfortunately my only example is numbered 2431.
The Indian badge is a great find. |

I know most people probably want badges showing some heroic war wound but I think this one of mine is really interesting because it shows they weren't just looking for anyone to push in front of the guns. Michael |
