RAF QC WO F&S maker cap badge

Hi all,

I recently acquired this badge. It has a faint makers mark of F&S (under the bottom of the crown) which I assume is Firmin & Sons.

It is very well made, mint and fairly heavy. It appears to have a gilt finish.

Any comments would be most welcome. This is the first I have noted of a RAF badge using this specific maker mark.

The f&s mark is fairly recent. I have it on various modern badges,the Rifles cap badge being one of the top of my head.
Of course ,with MOD stopping advertising its hard to narrow down dates of items. Unless they have a HM on them.
