Default Caterpillar Club Badge - Opinion

Hi All
Recently joined this forum to enhance my knowledge on military badges especially how to identify the vast number of fakes on the market (This forum has been extremely helpful so far in relation to this)
A friend has asked me for an opinion on a Caterpillar Club badge he has.
Never having held one before I wonder if I could get members opinion please.
The badge measures approx 19 mm in length which I know is the rght size.
Thank you for any assistance given.

regards
Andy

Default Caterpillar Club badge

I have only ever seen one of these some thirty+ years ago, I am sure the more informed forum members should be able to give you a heads up on the recipients name.

Hi all,

Remind me to pick up one that I know a friend acquired some years ago. I'll submit a photo of it if you'd like me to.

He was keen to find out anything about the recipient but I believe that this is a lost cause.

A dear old man we knew was a member of the Caterpillar Club (Short Stirling over Belgium) AND the GQ Club (Vickers Wellington over the UK). His Dad had applied for both on his behalf while he was "behind the wire". We were great friends with him and his wife and he told me that he would leave me his medals, logbook and badges but we suspect that his sister-in-law bent his ear over this...

This type of story sound familiar to anyone?
