Default Help with Prince of Wales feathers

Hello, I bought this lovely badge recently, it is of a heavy construction and originally had blades. No signs of previous bronzing or black paint. I always find Prince of Wales badges a minefield. I would be grateful for any clarification.

Best wishes David Moore

Hi David,
I’d say 15th London, one I’m still looking for if it’s outside your area of interest, looks nice,
Wilf

Hi Wilf, thank you for your reply. I too thought it might be 15th London. However why was it originally bladed, It is also in white not gilding metal? I am also still trying to complete the London Regiment.

Hi Alan, thank you for your reply. It well could be Wiltshire Yeomanry. It is of heavy construction, possibly silver, new slider nicely fitted. If it is WY what form of dress would it have been worn with?

Aah, it looked bronzed on my phone!! That's why I thought 15th Londons Officers bladed cap badge. What size is it out of interest?
Wilf

Hi Wilf, the badge is 37mm at both tallest and widest points. The thing in favour of it being 15th London Officers is that it is all white metal rather than bi-metal.

That patina looks like silver rather than white metal to me. I have seen officer's badges in silver with blades, so not unusual.
Cheers,
Alex
