Default WW1 Volunteer Training Corps

Just to start this one off here are three of the VTC (WW1 forerunners of the Home Guard) units that were raised in Wales.
1.Glamorgan Volunteer Training Corps.
2.Denbighshire Volunteer Regiment.
3.Carnarvonshire Volunteer Regiment VTC.
They were also units to Carmarthen and Neath. I have heard rumours of a Bangor (North Wales) unit but have not seen a badge.
Hwyl fawr,
Kevin

A most, most interesting thread, I actually think there are considerably more individual badges than most people realise.

Over the past couple of years I have seen ( but not been able to acquire ) a couple of badges for south Liverpool units ( Aigburth and Mossley Hill ) that I did not know existed previously.

P.B.

Wilf,
I've missed that one. Where is it referred to in K&K?
P.B
I have a funny feeling there are far,far more than we realise.
Hwyl,
Kevin

Kevin,
a bit later than hoped but here are the VTC badges i have. The majority i believe to be genuine. I have identified those that the jury are out on and would welcome opinions.
Cheers, Dave

Default Leamington Volunteer Defence Corps

Here is a picture of my great grandfather, George Frederick Jones (1874-1937) in his uniform of the Leamington Volunteer Defence Corps during the First World War.
He served in the Warwickshire Yeomanry in the early 1900's, but was over age and had inadequate eyesight for active service in 1914.
I have attached details of his cap badge and shoulder title (LVDC). Unfortunately, these won't enlarge.
