Default RFC Roden Cap Badge question
Was hoping someone might be able to answer why a number of RFC Roden cap badges I have seen have two round holes in the crown while other makers badges are cutout to shape or not voided at all. I realize different makers will have different styles, but the round holes look like they would have served a purpose. Thanks.

Hi

Just a suggestion, but maybe the piercing die that blanked out the open areas of the badge was missing this part and drilling two small holes gave the illusion that this had been done.

Seems to be the norm with RFC badges from this manufacturer, certainly not unusual.
