The top left hand one is definately WWI Indian Bearer Corps.

The others are Boer War and either Imperial Bearer Corps (middle two) or the Australian Imperial Bushman Corps(top right and bottom two)

As far as I am aware Gandi's corps in Boer War and 1906 rebellion did not wear any insignia except for a red cross armband.

I dont believe these are Cape Corps, even though recorded in Owen and Curson. All the picture I have seen of Cape Corps soldiers both in 1CC and 2CC are wearing a full title CAPE over CORPS and there are at least three variations of these.

The top one is CG and may be Boer war 'Cape Garrison'
The other two I have always believed to by Boer War 'Cape Cyclists' but I dont have concrete evidence of my assumptions.

Thanks Steven, this is the main aim of this thread, we really need to pool our knowledge as not much is available.

I will try post the SAMC titles I have today.

Regards,

Will

Here are my two WWI Cape Corps titles. Both of thin sheet brass with wire loop lugs. There is a better gm stamped title with copper lugs as worn by officers on khaki drill jacket. Officers did not wear titles on SD tunics.
