Default MTC MECHANISED TRANSPORT CORPS HELMET GOOD OR NOT ?

Hi,
good or not ? I think the shell of the helmet is good, but the cap and the chinstrap were added in my opinion.

...is that a silver sliding buckle on the strap? mmmmmmmmmm

the lettering looks virtually untouched.....but so does the helmet (although they're not the best pics!)

The trouble with Home Fronters is that some look like they were painted yesterday......and were!....whilst others just look that way.

One needs to get in close....scrutinise the paint, sniff it....look for over-painting etc etc but one can't do that with a couple of average quality pics.

did you buy it?

yes it is a silver buckle on the strap. I'm sure the strap was added after.

The lettering is practically intact, but there are signs of wear as on the helmet.

Yes, I bought this headset that comes from an old collection. It was bought in the 1990s. And I just bought it back.

Thank you for all these informations.
