Uncle Ernie
Dear All,
Here is a foto of Great Uncle Ernest. Can anyone identify the insignia? Many thanks for any suggestions. Best regards and a happy lockdown to all. William |

I think RAMC.
Looks like their collar dogs and a red cross on white circle arm badge. |

He looks to have the white circle and red cross of a medic on his arms maybe Royal Army Medical Corps ?? , can’t make out the collars that well but could be RAMC ? I’m sure others will help. Gerard

I agree with m’learned friends. The Red Cross of Geneva was a special arm badge to be worn by all other ranks of the RAMC. It had previously been worn by the Army Hospital Corps that merged with other departments to form the RAMC in 1898.
