Default Unknown MIDDLESEX items

Wondered if anyone has any idea what these are . They appear to be the cuff parts of a pair of gauntlets though there is no sign that they were ever joined to the 'hand' part or indeed anything . The lace and the insignia is all in silver bullion .

Welly covers...

Or more seriously - cuffs for a standard bearer?

'both' total guesses.

Cheerio,

Roy

I think Simon's right, they are masonic gauntlet cuffs.

If you 'Google' 'masonic gauntlet cuffs' you will find ones almost exactly the same.

They are cuffs for a Masonic Provincial Grand Steward - hence the red/ crimson coloured material, rather than the more usual blue.
