If Mr Kipling made exceedingly good cakes, Mr Jennens took the Biscuit with badges!
I had to share this work of art!! An absolutely SUPERB Coldstream Guards Officers Silver, Gilt and enamel Cap Star. 5.5 x 4 cm Large Forage Cap pattern.
Bears the Makers Mark J&Co and although not hallmarked I'm pretty sure it is Solid Silver? I believe Jennens were absorbed into Gaunts in around 1925. The type of badge you cannot stop looking at! QUALITY! |

Cracking badge there Andy. Very similer to the WO's version, but longer from top to bottom.
I dont know if this is cosidered bad form on here, but what would you expect to pay for a badge like that? |

with postage it cost £70 (last week) which is, IMHO less than half its value! Andy |

Yelp! I can see why so many collections seem to disregard officers badges. Still, lovely bit of kit mate. Well done.
