Default Lion patch

Does anyone know whether this is military, and if so, what it is, please?

Looks like the blazer badge of the John Lyon School based in Harrow. I no longer have mine, so can't give you precise size.

Many thanks for the possible identification. That gives me something to work on.

As a matter of interest I contacted the school but they don't know it.

The King John School, Benfleet, Essex. They also have a red lion blazer badge, so I would assume many more schools do as well. The designs may change over time?

Edit: I notice that the lion on their school sign doesn't match the one on their blazer.
