This is the shoulder title of the Federal Regular Army (FRA) which served in South Arabia, which was Aden and the Western Aden Protectorate. Formed from the Aden Protectorate Levies on 30 November 1961. The FRA Joined with the FNG (1) to become the South Arabian Army in June 1967. The FNG were the Federal National Guard (ex Government Guard). The book, The Armed Forces of Aden 1839-1967, has a lot of info on the units and badges of Aden. A revised edition will be out some time this year including 21 Coloured illustrations of the uniforms and a lot more photos of the locally raised forces.
